Sorry but I have been MIA for the pass 12 days! I got home today after being on the road for 21 straight days working in NC, SC and PA. The problem was the driving between gigs which put me in my hotel late every night. So I am back and plan on burning out about 10 new blogs this week as I have a bunch of stuff to share with you. Great thing about speaking to different groups I learn so much, and they think they are coming to learn from me! Anyway let me answer a bunch of email and get ready for a blast of info to digest over the next week!

I have been attacked again, another "person" who tackles me from my blind side! I get an email from some unknown person who takes 500 words to slam me and tell me how evil I am. Why I ask, is this person telling me how out of touch I am and on the take by one of the phone carriers. The funny thing is I pay my carrier which isn't who this person accusing me of being "on the take". If I was "On the take" would I have a cell bill at all, You all Get it, Don't You?
This person took me apart for not liking certain Smartphones which I honestly feel do not match up well for the Real Estate Industry. Yes there are Smartphones out there that have a certain feature that is great, BUT it lacks in other areas, You all Get it, Don't You?
Some people are very sensitive to you not agreeing with there opinion and if you disagree with them you are a low life creature and attack you for your views. You all Get it, Don't You?
The sad thing this person did not attend one of my seminars, somebody told them about what I said, hmmm was this person told the right info? Did they have their facts straight? What's cute some of the counter points this person made to me were way off and I found myself fact checking their side, guess they didn't bother checking mine, You all Get it, Don't You?
Finally this person accused me of misleading the industry with out dated facts and bias information. Gee I think I try hard to save agents money and be a positive influence. You all Get it, Don't You?
I am not looking for anybody to reinforce anything tonight. It just so happens I needed to vent and hey here sits thousands of bloggers to vent to! Thanks for the ears, well eyes and if you didn't get it my point is please look at your options and chose wisely when it comes to technology. If your happy I am happy but please learn what it will take to make you happy! Once you learn what makes you happy then You all Get it!

We just added 7 more dates to our calendar for this year! Today Santa Clara, CA, Warsaw, IN, Evansville, IN, for single days and Montgomery, AL and Council Bluffs all have committed for two day events.
Once we confirm the classes we will be offering I will post the details.

So we did it again, packed a room full of eager agents wanting to decide how to improve their technology skills.
Anderson, SC is a special place for me, this was my 5th trip to speak to them and today was the largest crowd we ever had. I know some of the folks have already jumped into the tech we covered because they are commenting on my blogs. I expect a bunch of Smartphones will be bought, hours of blogging and reworking websites.
Remember you don't need that billboard on I-85 rather put it in the hollar out back!

I love it when past students send me their stories of success and how they overcame a problem.
Mike from Gulfport, MS a student from over 4 years ago sent me a great email how I got him addicted to Mobile Technology and started him on a road that lead him to a Treo Smartphone. He had a problem which I had heard before, when you use a wired headset there it is possible for the switch that sees the jack freezes up so even after you pull the plug the Treo keeps thinking the jack is in place.
So Mike tried a few different things until he Googled his problem "Stuck jack and Treo 755p" and got his answer on how to fix!
"Spray the jack with WD-40 and place the jack in and out a few times" and it worked! So I am passing this on without ever trying it so my advice be careful.
I am building a blog off my website for all the Mobile Technology folks out there so things like this can be posted by you the users for others who need help. I'll let you know when I get it fired up and go thru a pile of emails from users to start the info flow.

I want to share with all of you some hidden codes on the Treo we use to diagnose what's going on with the Palm OS Treo. I am sharing this to help you understand what's going on with your Smartphone. If you have had resets or know somebody with a Palm OS Treo please print this and share with them. You'll be a hero, oh if you print include my name and website, I can always use the hits.
Hash Codes
Hash codes allow the Treo user the ability to look up the last crash of an app, To activate these codes please first be in your PHONE app.
1) To go to your phone app just hit the telephone icon on you Treo buttons.
2) Then dial the codes as if dialing a number on your Treo.
Sprint enter "##..." before every code.
Verizon enter "#*#...#"
AT&T and T-Mobile enter "#*..."
Useful codes:

Displays the last error which caused a soft reset, and the program that was running, line number etc
786
This the Phone Information Page. It tells you how many minutes the unit has on it, how much data has transpired, the warranty date, software versions, ESN, etc.

Is a troubleshooter tool. It allows you to test your buttons, sound, vibration, and etc. Try this one it's really cool

I predicted a price war between the carriers due to Sprint having a new CEO and declining market share.
So Sprint started this with the $99 for everything plan, which includes unlimited phone, text and internet and Verizon has counter well weak if you ask me. Just so we have a level playing field here's what we are comparing.
Unlimited calling, no roaming, unlimited text to any carrier and unlimited Internet.
Sprint $99
Verizon $139
Now Verizon is advertising their basic package at $99 with does not include text and internet, but apples to apples Verizon price is $139 which if I change carriers my bill would go up $25. Oh yes you can say well Verizon offers internet (data) package for $1.99 per MB, which means if you check your email and look at listing online your phone bill will be $500!
Again like before I am just comparing dollars not customer service or how the phone works in your area. But you should consider $40 a month times 24 month contract which is $960 saving over the life of the contract.
For those of you that are thinking I am a Sprint guy, I carry a Treo 680 on the AT&T network, speaking of AT&T when are they going to step up to the plate?????

My close friend National Real Estate Speaker Jerry Rossi reminds me regular, "***, words are not visual". I took to heart his advice and started in December trying to add all the art and pictures to my website. I am currently operating a 50 plus page website and that's a ton of art and pictures to add.
Shelby my Business Manager/Speaker/REALTOR/Partner/Wife and I had a photo shoot a few weeks ago for our new Keynote series and I started adding pictures in places. Then I got the bright idea to take my testimonials I had in file and contact them to see if they agree to have their pictures with links to their sites on my site. My next project is to add photos of devices close up showing the things I am talking about.
Now remember we want to build our websites to assist us in SEO ranking, so every picture you add also add "ALT text" so the spiders find it, and hey the more links the better so each agent's picture I put on is a picture with "ALT text" and a link!
