Shut Down Programs Running in Background

Windows Mobile will keep programs running in the background which can lead to sluggish operation. Get in the habit of shutting them down to add speed to your device. Go to "Settings" then "System" and find "Memory". Once in "Memory" find "Running Programs". You will see "Stop All", tap on the tab and all your currently open programs will stop running and you can start over again with more speed on your device.

A tip from Lynn Levine of RE/MAX of New Jersey, with the Windows operating Treo, hold down the “OK” button and it takes you directly to “Running Programs”. If you have a different Windows Mobile device give it a try.

Why don't the kind folks at Microsoft see that they make stupid decisions in their programs? If they insist on leaving all applications running by default, shouldn't they at least give you the option to run it like a normal operating system and close a program when you tell it to close? At least XP isn't like that!

-Jerry
